Our

Story

Most people see the words irrational and delusional as negatives, but we see irrational hope, delusional hope, irrational faith, and delusional confidence differently. We believe that some of life’s greatest victories happen because someone chose to believe when others doubted, hope when others gave up, and persevere when the odds seemed impossible.

History is filled with people who were called irrational for chasing a dream, having faith in a difficult season, or refusing to accept limitations placed on them by others. What the world often labels as irrational, we often see as courage, resilience, and belief.

That belief is the foundation of Irrational Ones.

Through Raising Irrational Ones, we use gaming-based mentorship to help youth build confidence, emotional regulation, communication skills, and meaningful social connections.

Through Irrational Hope, we provide a supportive community for parents and caregivers—especially those raising children with disabilities—offering encouragement, resources, and a place where they are understood.

Together, we empower children, strengthen families, and create a community built on hope, faith, and the belief that every person has the potential to achieve more than the world expects.

You need to have

IRRATIONAL CONFIDENCE AND
FAITH TO REACH YOUR FULL POTENIAL.

Shaun Bryson

Founder & CEO, Irrational Ones

My name is Shaun Bryson, Founder and CEO of Irrational Ones.

For more than 13 years, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families through the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, serving in roles including In-Home Therapy, ABA Therapy, In-Home Behavioral Services, and Therapeutic Mentoring. I have spent my career meeting young people where they are—not where we expect them to be.

I founded Irrational Ones because I believe mentorship has to evolve with the generation it serves. Video games are not a distraction—they are where today’s youth communicate, build friendships, compete, and figure out who they are.

Through gaming-based mentorship, we use those experiences to develop real skills: communication, emotional regulation, confidence, teamwork, and resilience. These are skills that show up at home, in school, and throughout life.

Our mission is straightforward: empower youth, strengthen families, and build a community where every child is believed in before they believe in themselves.

Maggie Brubaker

President, Irrational Ones | Founder, Irrational Hope

Maggie Brubaker is the President of Irrational Ones and Founder of Irrational Hope.

With more than 15 years of nursing experience and a lifelong passion for serving others, Maggie has dedicated her career to caring for children, families, and communities through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Throughout her journey, she witnessed the incredible strength of parents and caregivers—particularly those raising children with disabilities and unique needs—while also seeing how often their own needs went unheard. That realization became her calling.

She founded Irrational Hope to create the space those parents deserved: a community where they feel heard, understood, and encouraged by others who share the same road.

Her mission is simple: no parent should have to carry this alone. Through Irrational Hope, families find connection, resources, and the confidence to keep moving forward together.
